Anime of the Week: Black Blood Brothers

I watched this anime yesterday and thought it was so brilliant that I'd make it anime of the week. It is a vampire story which centres around Mochizuki Jirou who is known as the silverblade---bad ass slayer of any vampire which poses a threat to humans and vampires alike. In twelve short episodes the anime gives you a glimpse of how Jirou became a vampire and why he is such a bad ass swordsman. He is a vampire haunted by his past but with his cheery little brother he is seeking to brighter future in the Special Zone. But can he escape his dark past...ummmmm I wonder????? It is a very entertaining anime to watch--full of action and if you like vampire type anime you won't be disappointed with this story. I didn't know what to expect BUT I managed to watch all twelve episodes in one day, which tells you one of two things.....one---it is awesome---two--maybe you have NO LIFE you frigging OTAKU!!!! Either way I suggest you add this to your to watch list.

Tatakou Shisho - The Book of Bantorra - Fighting Librarians

This is a new anime that has only aired four episodes so far and I've managed to watch all four! It is kind of weird but that weirdness made me watch all four episodes back to back or was that sheer boredom of being a shoebox prisoner thanks to swine flu....ummmmmmmmmmmmm.....NO NO I LIE>.> This anime is definitely not boring BUT I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece either. The story seems quite original to me---there seems to be some sort of religious war going on---I say that because the church is an any enemy in this anime and also there is something bizarre going on with librarians. Needless to say after watching four episodes I'm somewhat perplexed or again maybe the swine flu is affecting my sensibilities either way the storyline is intriguing. I want to understand this mystery about the books of the past, who are these librarians, what's up with weird church telling everyone to follow their lewd desires, who is Shiron and is Colio dead....damn there are a lot of unanswered questions. Anyways, I would say this anime is of interest and worthy of a watch....fairly good action and an interesting storyline----I hope it has a good ending!

Anime of the Week: Eden of the East - 東のエデン Higashi no Eden

Hello, Addicted to Anime Maldives is back in action!!! Sorry everyone.....I have been so busy lately that I haven't even had time to watch anime---yes, I know it's unthinkable...unimaginable BUT I have brought disgrace to the name Otaku....hahahahaha^__^

I will redeem myself...soon....soon!!!!

So, the anime of the week is Eden of the East, which stopped airing June 2009. Honestly, there isn't much I can say about this anime. But I can say that the first and only episode that I managed to watch was hilarious and very intriguing. I would recommend watching it to anyone who likes funny, action, conspiracy or spy type anime. I will add more about this anime at the end of the week (as I will be watching the other 10 episodes as of tomorrow).

Anime of the Week: Detroit Metal City -デトロイト・メタル・シティ

This is the most hilarious, craziest, whackiest and wildest anime I think I've ever watched. I'm not really a fan of death metal BUT after watching Krauser II in action---am a fan of DMC---Go to DMC, Go To DMC. The episodes are only 13 minutes long and I swear you'll be bellowing out in laughter---WARNING---if you're not a fan of CRUDENESS then chances are you won't like this anime.

Meet the cute, Soichi Negishi who is the sweet and innocent man behind the lyrics. He is the DEMON LORD and his very sexed up or I should say he wants to sex you up. I could talk forever about this anime but I think it would take all the fun out of it, especially if you're a Krauser II virgin like me..hahahaa. Verdict: Awesome explicit entertainment!

Marvel meets Anime!

When I was younger I used to always watch the Marvel action hour---Tony Stark is Ironman, X-Men and the Fantastic Four and I must admit I loved these cartoons. I've watched all the Marvel movies that have been released to date BUT I wasn't expecting to get the chance to watch an anime version to Ironman & Wolverine. But it looks like someone saw fit to bless me with a bad@ss looking anime of two of my favourite Marvel characters!!!!! The trailers only give you a taste of what the animation will look like and simple put it looks awesome. They have a darker feel to them and I say bring on 2010.

Anime of the Week: Mobile Suit Gundam 00

Confession time!!! I haven't even watched any of the Gundam saga apart from 4 episodes of Gundam Wing, which isn't the anime of the week *SIGH*. I haven't even managed to watch one episode of Gundam 00 but I checked out the music playlist and it seems to be awesome, so I'm hoping that the anime will reflect the music --hahahaaa. Imy kun picked this anime----DAMN HIM!!!!!!! So, I can't say much about it---can I--except imy said "VERDICT: Celestial AWESOMENESS! =P"

I will watch Gundam 1 day in the not so imminent future UNTIL than if you like these mecha type anime and you like this trailer. Take Imy kun's advice and watch Gundam00. ^__^

Darker Than Black - Season 2 Gets Green Light

So, if you loved Darker than Black and the infamous elite contractor - BK-201 aka Hei!!!! You'll be ecstatic to know that the next season of this anime has been given the greenlight. If you haven't heard of this anime---you still have time to watch season 1 in preparation for what should be an awesome follow up anime. I do believe that BONES studio will be involved in this production and they've produced a lot of awesome anime, such as Full Metal Alchemist and Soul Eater (if you haven't watched these two anime yet---what the hell are you waiting for!!!!).

Umineko No Naku Koro Ni - When the Seagulls Cry - うみねこのなく頃に

So, you're born into a wealthy family and you all meet on an island where your rich grandfather lives. You are aware of a tale regarding your family wealth being given to you by a golden witch called Beatrice! You don't believe this nonsense about witches and such like --what are you ---5 years old....hmmmmmm. Nevertheless, the epitaph beneath the witches supposed portrait claims to lead you to the gold?

The year is 1986 and the family is stuck on the island ofRokkenjima and people are starting to DIE---yes, blood and murder and mystery and a possible witch!!!! I've only watched 3 episodes so far but this seems like it'll be an exciting anime with murder, magic and mayhem. I'm intrigued to watch the rest. The characters are interesting and the murders are definitely causing panic and wild unfounded accusations amongst them. Did the grandfather, Kinzo Ushiromiya really make a contract with the golden witch, Beatrice? Well, I definitely intend to find out and I'd suggest that if you like horror, mystery and murder typeanime you'll like this one---I'll keep you updated but it seems like this is going to be fantastic!!!!

Anime of the Week: Kannagi - Crazy Shrine Maidens

I watched Kannagi a while back and this is one funny anime. It's so much fun to watch and if you haven't had the pleasure--you must check it out. Imagine you are an art student and your friend gives you a piece of wood to carve a sculpture. You envisage a beautiful woman and carve her delicately from the piece of wood and you turn your back for a brief second and your greeted by a blue haired Goddess called, Nagi. You are now in the crazy world of the Shrine Maidens along with the main character Jin. Jin lets the goddess crash at his house and she follows him to school BUT he must help her with her godly duties of killing impurities which take the form of BUGS.

The story is very short with only 13 episodes but it's enough to make you fall in love with Nagi and the other crazy shrine maidens. I think you'll laugh your head off at every single episode, as her situation always manages to get funnier. There is even a time when she has to work in a maid cafe and so many other hilarious things. Watch it and laugh LAUGH LAUGH!!!!

Paradise Kiss I Loved IT!!!!

Meet George---the dreamy heartthrob designer of Paradise Kiss!!!!! So, I finished all 12 episodes of this anime a while ago but I remembered I was meant to do an update and here it is. This anime is all about Yukari and her life changes when she meets an eccentric bunch of fashion designers and falls for the charming George. I would say that if you like slice of life type anime you'll find this really enjoying and easy to watch. Don't mistake this for BORING as it's anything but boring and they portray relationships very well in this anime and it makes for a very entertaining watch. I would say that if you liked Nana than you'll definitely like this anime too.

Getbackers, Getbackers, Getbackers I guess this is all I can say at this point as I haven't watched one episode yet. From all the reviews and what I heard from our facebook group and Imy kun's opinion, this is a fantastic anime. I feel terrible that I'm doing a post without watching at least one episode, so after I write this ....I'm going to sneak a peek BUT do you know what it's like when you're playing catch up on the airing anime and then you're watching an anime like D.Gray Man and you have 17 episodes left before you finish. HAhahaah I need some punctuation, I was rambling without a FULLSTOP or COMMA but I found a fan made trailer which contains SPOILERS I'm afraid but who cares, hopefully it'll make you wanna watch GETBACKERS the supposedly awesome anime!!!!

Canaan Is so Freaking CooL!

I'm not sure what this is all about BUT the amount of action in the two episodes I watched didn't leave much time to worry about IT!!! So, far there appears to be people who see things differently to everyone else and if they haven't mastered this ability it can prove PAINFUL. The main character is called, Canaan and she appears to be some sort of agent working for an unknown organisation.

Canaan has a sister who seems to be working in an opposing agency and there is definitely some sort of rivalry and even though I don't know where it stems from or why she sees things differently from other people. I think I'll continue watching this one UNLESS it becomes so dreadful that I can't persist in which case---WATCH OUT FOR THE UPDATE!!!!

Bakemonogatari is Awesome & Wacky!!!!

I have watched all 3 episodes so far and I think there are 12 more to go and I have to say---this is the wackiest anime I've watched for a while---WEIRD & totally crazy but it's kind of awesome. The story is total madness, I mean the guy in this picture catches this girl who has no weight and he introduces her to a vampire who charges her 100,00o 円 to get back her body mass. The first episode and the second are kind of connected but than the third episode kind of went off on a tangent but in a kind of supercoolcrazy way. I mean the animation, the script, the camera angles and the wackiness are making this into a unique anime experience and I definitely recommend it to anyone who like creativeness!!!!

Anime of the Week: Hellsing!!!

If you love Vampires, action and lots of blood and you haven't watched Hellsing than you are just CRAZY!!!! This anime is so cool mecha kakkoi --the character, Alucard is one of the coolest vampire characters that I've come across and if I put that in simpler terms his a BAD ASS MUTHA EFFER..hahahahaa.

You must watch Hellsing like immediately in fact why are you still reading this post???? The story isn't the greatest story in the world but the eerieness of the anime, the music, the fight scenes and Alucard will make you watch all 13 episodes in NO TIME at all. I won't go into too much detail with the story as simply put---girl gets BITTEN and choses to become a VAmpire too live and becomes part of an organisation that is assisted by Alucard to rid the earth of the SCUM out there. LOL.

Red Garden is Totally Weird!

I think that this is without a doubt the WEIRDEST anime I've watched to date!!! It's also difficult to say whether or not I liked this anime BUT fact is it was compelling and I guess I was intrigued because I watched all 22 episodes fairly quickly!!!! I must admit the story was based in New York and the style of the animation was quite different to what I'm accustomed but the character sure look very pretty. The storyline itself is very vague but has an eerie feel BUT the relationships the anime depicts are very impressive. The estranged family relationship, the best friends, the friend that's after your boyfriend and explosive arguments it does it in a style that you would associate with an anime and that's why I think I kind of enjoyed this anime. They definitely took a risk with Red Garden and I have to say it is worth watching. I'm not sure if I've convinced you enough.

Anime of the Week: D GrayMan

I still haven't watched all of this anime and I'm like 50 episodes into an 103 episode anime series BUT I've been stuck at 50 for quite sometime. This isn't a reflection on the anime!!!! Not at all--this anime has it all---great characters, good story and nice music. TICK TICK TICK in all the right boxes.

The main character is Allen Walker who has a gift or a curse that allows him to see DEMONS who are wearing human skins!!! This demon seeing eye is a reminder of his own mistake when he fall victim to the Millennium Earl---the bad guy who prays on sorrow and bereavement as a means to create DEMONS by trapping human souls. This gift/curse leads Allen Walker to become an exorcist when he joins the Order and makes friends with other people who possess different powers that they have harnessed due to something that is called "INNOCENCE." This innocence has been scattered over the earth and holds in it the power to defeat Millennium Earl!!!!! This bit is speculation on my part as I've only watched HALF of this anime and this post has given me a KICK in the butt to finally finish it OFF.

Well, this isn't brand new as first aired in 2005 and I think I added to my anime list a while ago because it kind of reminded me of Nana. Anyways, today I watched 3 episodes and I'm recommending it too any romance, slice of life type anime fans. What can I say after 3 episodes. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Do You Want To - Franz Ferdinand

Welcome to Paradise Kiss, I mean when I started watching the first few minutes I thought I had the wrong anime due to the unique animation. Then, imagine poor Yukari (top centre of pic) minding her own business, innocently walking to school when some random guy with multiple piercings starts chasing you---calling you pretty!!! This is how Yukari gets sweet talked into modelling for ParaKiss by George (top left of the pic) ----HEART THROB.

So far this anime is filmed very differently to most. The characters are interesting and I would say this one will contain some sexual content. HAHAHAHA.

Code Geass R2

It wasn't so far back. My life before meeting Lelouch!!! Since, our meeting my life has changed forever. I think I'll mark it Life before Lelouch and Life after Lelouch. AHAHAHA. I exaggerate BUT I have a point. Lelouch is just sheer awesomeness even to the bitter end, he is truly a great anime character and I love him BUT sorry my heart has been promised to Urahara!!!!

Enough of the craziness!!!! I have finally watched both Code Geass and Code Geass R2 and I must admit that this is a brilliant anime. I mean talk about strategic warfare and I do often think life can be compared to a giant game and boy, oh boy wasn't this just a superb anime. I don't want to spoil this anime for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of watching Code Geass. But I reckon if you liked Deathnote, you like Code Geass as Lelouch reminds me of KIRA or maybe that is just unique to me. YARE YARE!

Shiawase Neiro - ORANGE RANGE

Reason to watch this anime is because it is full of action, suspense, excitement, fun, tears, erratic heart racing, rushing to watch the next episode because you desperately want too see what trick Lelouch has up his sleeve. Tired eyes, burning for sleep but you are so gripped you fight back sleep and say no, I must watch the next episode. Just one more, just one more....whoops it's 3:00am....what happened. LOL. It's awesome, you must WATCH it NOW!!!!!!

Lovely Complex - Anime of the Week

This anime is great fun to watch---it's a love story about an unlikely couple that seem like they'll never get together but that's love, right, unexpected. HAHAHAHA, am getting distracted!!!! So, if you like the slice of life type anime with hilarious scenes and a great easy to watch anime then Lovely Complex is right up your street.

The two main characters are Ootani and Risa who have a HUGE height difference but have very similar interests. The whole anime focuses around their relationship with each other and the friends around them and a whole lot of fun, fun, fun believe me, you'll be cracking up while watching this love story come together.

I haven't blabbed on too much because I did that in my previous post!!!! So, if you have some free time give Lovely Complex a Peek.

JigoKu ShouJo Mitsuganae - The Girl From Hell

Last night I watched the final few episodes from Jigoku Shoujo and I'm really hoping that they do another season because I totally love Enma Ai. She is the Girl from Hell who will ferry people to hell at the cost of you're soul falling to hell on your future death. I love the whole idea behind this story and how it shows the different types of hell that people live every day. Each episodes shows you another nightmare that someone has to endure on a day to day basis at the hands of their fellow man.

I won't go on too much, as I have the potential to chat on and on when it comes to my favourite anime character (well, one of them) Enma Ai. If you haven't watched any of the series, lucky you!!! This will give you something new to see and believe me, I'm sure you'll thoroughly enjoy it fingers crossed.

Eve no Jikan: Time of Eve

I totally forgot all about Eve no Jikan and that is probably because the episodes are released like 2 months apart and there are only two more 15 minutes episodes left. But I must say I love Yasuhiro Yoshiura, his work is brilliant!!!! This anime really leaves you thinking and even though it's all science fiction these episodes are thought provoking. What makes us human? Is being born human what defines are humanity and things of this nature. If technology is created and it has the makings of a sentient being shouldn't it be treated as such? Despite looking indistinguishable (except for a halo ring above their head) from a human being the androids are treated as tools---REMARKABLE.

Anyways, I'm digressing but if you love these kind of anime and great animation--you'll love a time of eve--make sure you watch IT!!!!

Kurozuka ---Let me Down TT.TT

I finally finished Kurozuka and I'll be honest I wasn't overly impressed. The story is about a 1,000 year old love story between Kuro and Kuromitsu---I won't reveal too much of the story in case you chose to watch this anime. So, what I will say is that the anime has a lot of blood, violence, action, samurai swords and cool noh chanting in the opening scenes.

You might wonder what was your problem with this anime.....sounds awesome!!! Well, here it is---the story was a little jumbled and this might be because the lead characters memories are all over the place BUT he is only certain of one thing. The need to find Kuromitsu. Kuromitsu the woman who changed his life for an eternity---the one he spills his own blood for and that of those around him. The story has some interesting ideas about how far men will go to obtain POWER and some of these scenes are disturbing---how they experiment on people with Vampiric blood and dispose of them if they aren't a suitable HOST....PRETTY GROSS.

SYSTEMATIC PEOPLE (WAG version) - WAGDUG FUTURISTIC UNITY

But overall I wouldn't say this will be a memorable anime and I doubt it will be a favourite anime BUT nevertheless as it only has 12 episodes, if you start it you'll most likely finish it. If you only want to watch it for the blood splatter, you'll definitely enjoy it!!!!!

And for some reason, I always found Makoto super attractive! <3

Anime of the Week: Soul Eater ソウルイーター

If you haven't watched Soul Eater ---you are CRAZY, INSANE and need committing to nearest anime clinic to get your does of 51 episodes like since yesterday. This anime is absolutely awesome and it's so awesome in fact I've already done 3 other posts!!!! So, I'm keeping this one short and sweet. The story evolves around a school with the grim reaper as the Headmaster---he is training an army of shinigami's to rid the earth of evil threats posed by WITCHES. The students are all paired with weapons (who have a human form) and when their soul resonates in harmony together their strength increases. In order to graduate they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and 1 of a witch BUT graduation isn't so easy. This is the ultimate anime because it has it all---great characters, brilliant action scenes, comedy, nice story and lots and lots of energy as well as fantastic music.

WATCH IT NOW or stay bonkers for the rest of your life!!!!

Nodame Cantabile is so HILARIOUS!!!!

This is the first music type anime I watched and I totally loved it. Yes, yes the two main characters are musical prodigies but Nodame chan is the funniest, freakiest, totally insane character I've ever come across and I loves HER *in none lesbian way* she is just too funny. Her crush on Chiaki sempai is just lovely to watch and his looks attract a lot of attention from other girls and boys---yes, Chiaki sempai is a HEART THROB *boom boom boom goes the HEART*.

Beethoven - Symphony No. 7 - 1st Movement - Nodame Orchestra

If you haven't watched this anime I suggest you do so, simply because it's too much fun too miss out on. If you like classical music you'll totally love it.....if you don't like classical music ---you will still enjoy it because it has some of the funniest scenes I've ever seen and I'm not gonna go too much into them. Code Geass ---MASTERPIECE!!!!

I think I fell in love with Lelouch, yes, I did!!!! He reminds me so much of KIRA and I think that's because of his cold, calculating and brilliant mind----just my type---see intelligence is SEXYYYYYYYYY. Sorry, I got sidetracked. I finally finished watching Code Geass after a long time on the TO WATCH LIST I got round to it and I'm so glad I watched IT. I'm going all out and labelling it a Masterpiece--simply because it's awesome.

CODE GEASS-kaidoku FUNOU - Jinn

I watched 4 episodes of Gundam and I stopped BUT after watching such a great Mecha type anime....I think I better finish Gundam---sidetracked again, it is late here you know! So, Code Geass and it's brilliant battle for JUSTICE in a strategic thought out battle of wits has you simply on the edge of your seat--thinking about watching the whole series without sleeping. Seriously, the story is that compelling and exciting and all the other adjectives associated with FANTASTICA. So, if you were like me and had this on your list but didn't watch it yet. Don't sleep on it ---WATCH today and while I'm at it if you loved DeathNote---I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy this one too:)

Shangri La シャングリ・ラ Fun & Fresh

This is another of the new spring anime that is truly a beautiful anime to watch and I think if you're a science fiction fan you'll enjoy it or if you're a cross dresser you might also enjoy!!! The story is set in the future that has been affected by the climate and mans abuse of natural resources and pollution has resulted in a carbon crisis. The environment has changed and only the chosen few get to live in the Utopia known as Atlas while the other people living on the earth's surface---face a miserable existence.

I totally think the storyline again is quite unique and intriguing. The animation is fantastic and the character designs and I also think the characters themselves are great fun especially Momoko san who is not in these pictures. You must watch this anime---there are 14 episodes left to air and more and more of the story to be told. I mean what is this prophecy---is the EARTH talking to a few chosen individuals---is it time for change. I think so people....don't miss Shangri La or if you can't watch now---remember to watch it at some point in this lifetime!!! YATTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

I'm like on episode 10 of this anime and I think slowly it's becoming a favourite of mine!!! The story line is interesting with the idea of this Abyss and the main character, Oz kun being shrouded in mystery and despite the dark feel to the anime it still has its humour. Sometimes I think the humour is annoying but overall I'm starting to enjoy the cute little comedy scenes. I mean I love the costumes and I do think the story is quite unique from all the anime I've watched to date.

Parallel Hearts - FictionJunction (Vocal: WAKANA KAORI KEIKO YURIKO KAIDA)

It has a nice pace, interesting story, gorgeous characters and costumes, intrigue and a supernatural edge----give Pandora's Heart a chance ---there are still 15 more episodes to go and so much more of the tale to unfold. I wonder what it as in store.....Yahoooooooo.O

Shion no ou - Anime of the Week

I don't think many people have heard of this anime and that is a shame but this truly is a wonderful anime. The main story focuses around shougi but don't worry I don't know how to play this game of Japanese chess and I still thought this anime was brilliant.

The cute girl in the picture is the main character, Shion Ishiwatari whose parent's were murederd in front of her when she was 5 years old. The murder remains unsolved and the affects of the murder have left Shion unable to talk. But all things start to change when she shows everyone her brilliance at Shougi and through her tournaments an exciting murder mystery begins to unfold.

The pace is perfect, the story is brilliant and the characters are also great and plus it tells you a lot of interesting stuff about Shougi and now even i want to learn how to play!!!!!!!!

Sayonara Claymore----Hello ManGa Update!!!

I was watching this with my anime buddy online but things changed. I finally got round to finishing this anime off and I must admit I was a little disappointed. But needless to say that is because the ending is totally made up and even though it didn't follow the Manga story I feel they could've done a better job of IT!!! So apart from having a little moan at the last two episodes overall I will say that this is a marvellous anime.

Raison detre - Nightmare

It has an awesome storyline following an organisation cloaked in mystery that has created an army of demon slayers known as Claymores. The Claymores are all women that are half demon and have human BUT they face a sad path, which usually results in DEATH. As each time they rely on their demon strength they open themselves to the possibility of losing control of their human characteristics.

It is definitely a great anime and being as the story was so brilliant I intend to continue it by reading the Manga, which I believe is still running!!!! So if you like demon type stories, action, BLood, Blood and ohhhhhhh lots of BLOOD, well, you certainly won't be disappointed.

Anime of the Week - Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion -コードギアス反逆のルルーシュ

I'm finally watching Code Geass and I'm only 16 episodes into this 25 episode anime and my thoughts are this anime is awesome. I think this what is referred to a Mecha type anime and I'm not particularly keen on these kind of animes BUT I hadn't watched CODE GEASS. This anime is just totally brilliant and I'm loving everything about it so far.

The story evolves around the invasion of Japan by the empire of Britannia. Britannia is a ruled ruthlessly and the citizens of Japan are being belittled and suffering inhumane treatment at the hands of Britannia. They have been stripped of their pride and are now known by a number---eleven - 11!!!! This has led some Japanese to take drastic measures and leads to the creation of a seeker of JUSTICE. The main characters are Lelouch (the guy in this picture) and his fated meeting with the girl above know as C.C. This meeting results in Lelouch obtaining a power that he believes he can use to change the world. Now, in this sense it reminds me of DEathnote and he reminds me of KIRA.

Mosaic Kakera - SunSet Swish

Everyone is fighting for justice and are all desperately seeking to create a brighter future!!! haven't completed this anime yet but I'll have done so in the next days. I mean I wouldn't wish to spoil the plot so far. So, I'll keep this short and inviting if I can----the story has a great pace, nice action, gorgeous characters, comedy and more than anything it has a wonderful story thus far.

I don't think I can say much more apart from watch it already!!!! I will definitely do an update BUT for now WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bleach---ZOMG!!!

I think if there is one anime that everyone should watch----it's BLEACH---I can't think of any reason why anyone wouldn't like this anime. The main character Ichigo Kurosaki was a normal kid (or so he thought) apart from the fact that he could see DEAD PEOPLE!!!! His life changes when he met the girl in the picture, Rukia Kuchiki and he became part of another world. Through this meeting Ichigo discovered the power that was hidden inside him and he instinctively used this power to help his FRIENDS. This is a great anime---especially if you like supernatural type anime.

My Pace - Bleach - SunSet Swish

What follows now is a SPOILER---Read at own PERIL!!!! So, I'm like so totally excited and I'm loving the Shinigami Vs Arrancar episodes. Especially as they're showing us the power of the characters who usually take a BAck STEP---why is Bleach so freeking awesome.....hmmmmmmm. Saying that I'm obviously not referring to the senseless FILLER episodes. I can't wait to see ICHIGO kick Ulquiorra's emo A$$---B A N K A I :)

Blame!!!! Short Anime ブラム! Buramu!

Well, this is quite funny really---not the anime!!! I decided to watch this short anime which only had like 7 episodes all only 5 minutes long and i thought i like the eerieness of this animation. But I have been doing things back to front----this song sprang to mind when watching this BLAME and i reckon that's because it's the ending song to Serial Experiment Lain, which is another anime based on computers!!!!!

That said----the anime does appear quite intriguing so I think I will have to do this in reverse order and now I will read the MANGA. As apparently the animation is only meant to be like be watched with the MANGA. So, the pictures on this anime look pretty cool so I will read the Manga. So you might be wondering what it's about so this is taken from Anime News Network as I couldn't really sum it up from 35 minutes of animation.

The Manga is a Cyberpunk Manga (what is that---I don’t know) by Tsutomu Nihei and the lead character is the guy in the picture, Killy. He possesses some sort of incredibly powerful weapon and wonders this technological world in search of something that will allow him to access the computer that controls the city!!!! The city is an endless maze of vertical space and artificially constructed walls and the city is swimming with humans and sub humans—cyborgs. This is not a peaceful time and the eradication of mankind is in effect and the key to stopping the expansion lies in the controlling this NETSPERE---the computer that rules this world.

I guess sounds cool—if you are like into science fiction and computers and that kind of stuff. Watch Log-1 and decide if you want to read the Manga with me!!!!

Ergo Proxy エルゴプラクシ

Before I harp on about the greatness that is Ergo Proxy, I must spell this out, this anime is kind of like Marmite maybe you haven't heard of Marmite nevertheless the principle is universal---you either love it or you hate it. This anime isn't for everyone and that said I will now hopefully give you enough information to make you decide if you want to watch the 23 episodes that make up this story.

The lady in the picture is Real Mayer (aka Re-L Mayer or Lil Mayer) who is one of the main characters who is the granddaughter of a highly influential regent (leader) of her Utopian society. I'll set the scene ---she lives in a post apocalyptic society where humans are assisted by Autoreivs in their day to day duties----in effect they are pampered by self thinking machines. A society where human emotions are under control and in this society Re-L Mayer is questioning her miserable existence and that's when her life leads her down a path where some of her questions might be answered. Ps. i think Re-L Mayer looks like the singer from Evanescence and also that this song sums up pretty much how she is feeling!!!!

Wake me up inside (GOOD COPY) w/ linkin park - Evanescence

A couple of murder cases lead to an investigation into a Virus called the Cognito virus which is making the Autoreivs defy their human masters in acts of violence and defiance. Re-l Mayer leads the investigation that introduces her to a lowly immigrant in her eyes not mines by the name of Vincent Lee. On their meeting both lives take an unexpected twist that will answer Re-l's questions on life and help Vincent discover his own identity. AWAKENING---something awakens in both of them on their meeting and together they find the answers to their hearts questions. This is by far no easy task and they often don't see eye to eye----the journey is a long and arduous one and an eye opener for Re-L who has lived a relatively pampered life in her utopia. When fate leads her out of her comfort bubble to absorb life outside this society and to travel the bleak and forlorn landscape that the rest of the world inhabits---definitely leads to some philosophical introspection.

With the help of the cute and Cognito infected Pino (Autoreiv) they travel the grey skies heading to Mosco, where Vincent hopes to discover his true identity. The anime is very complicated and philosophical and it really makes you think. The style of the animation, the music, the clips of information before the episodes starts, the characters and the pace of the anime all add to the forlorn and pensive nature of the story. The story has a great ending and I'll spell this out if you like FAST paced anime, well this certainly isn't for you---if you like science fiction, philosophy, psychology and futuristic--lets question the meaning of my miserable life--who am I, why am I here type anime----well chances are you'll love Ergo Proxy.

I happen to be all of the above ---so I will say this is an awesome anime BUT even I know the slow pace might BORE some people silly BUT slow pace and Brilliant story I can handle and this I feel is a real MUST SEE for all science fiction anime fans. Watch Ergo Proxy and if you like this trailer ---chances are you'll like the ANIME.

Anime of the Week - Nodame Cantabile - ZOMG のだめカンタービレ so Funny!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me introduce you to one of the funniest anime I've watched in a while---Nodame Cantabile!!!!! The main character is a pianist and her name is Noda Megumi but she insists on being called NODAME and despite being a total loon, lousy cook and the messiest girl you'll probably meet she is also the funniest. I'm only 6 episodes into this 23 episode anime BUT from what I've seen so far it's absolutely HILARIOUS.

The story evolves around music and this is the first music based anime I've watched and I'm enjoying it immensely!!! Nodame is a brilliant pianist and her playing catches the ears of the school heartthrob, Chiaki Shinichi who quite surprisingly didn't realise that he lived next door to Nodame. Chiaki is extremely arrogant and his over confidence gets him demoted to what can be described as the REJECT class and with this demotion his life changes. He meets Nodame and he becomes her MAID ..hahahaa and decides to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a composer. Will he accomplish this goal, will he fall in love with Nodame---what is going to happen---I don't know BUT i want to find out.

All in all it's a slice of life anime based around music--so if you like this type of anime, classical music and jokes on top of jokes on top of barrels of fun and laughter---then watch this anime. If you're having a bad day and you watch this anime---it won't last for long!!!!! I'll do a small update once I've completed watching the other 17 episodes.

Fate Stay Night フェイト/ステイナイト

Can you see the beauty that is Saber!!!!! If you haven't watched this anime ---I'm about to give you a few good reasons to either start watching all 24 episodes or to add it to the TOO WATCH LIST. So, apart from the dazzling beauty that is Saber---why else would you watch Fate Stay Night? Well, here it is---the anime is fairly recent in that it finished airing in 2006 and it has an interesting story.

The story is based around the wonderful Saber who is a female servant summoned to assist a weak sorcerer by the name of Shirou Emiya in his quest for the Holy Grail. So if you enjoy fiction and stories about the legend of the Holy Grail then this anime might be intriguing to you---hmmmmmmmm. Still not convinced?

Shirou Emiya comes from a tragic past that is strongly connected to his future!!!! He lost his parents in a fire and was adopted by a sorcerer and although his magical ability is pretty pathetic he makes up for this in HEART. On the fateful night in question he manages to summon Saber Lucky Strike!!!!! Together with Saber he embarks on an adventure to battle with the other contenders for the Holy Grail. Each contender also has a legendary warrior from the past to help them in their battle and they must keep the name of their warrior HIDDEN to lessen their chance of FAILURE.

I would say that it is definitely a worthwhile anime to watch, the story is intriguing although I must say that the first 3 episodes are quite slow paced and full of narrative BUT after these episodes the story gathers momentum. I would say that if you aren't enjoying the story by the 6th episode---well chances are it's not for YOU. But if you like what you see by this point well----CONTINUE TO THE END and you won't be disappointed and the plot, pace and action will keep you entertained.

Anime of the Week - Mononoke - モノノ怪

Mononoke and not to be confused with Princess Mononoke as they are totally different anime!!!! Mononoke is an absolutely brilliant anime and suits my tastes very well BUT is your taste the same as mine----you can decide. So, in 12 episodes the anime tells the stories of the bakeneko arc of the Ayakashi (classic Japanese horror). It kind of follows that if you like horror type anime then you might enjoy this anime---fact is---i haven't seen the Ayakashi anime yet BUT after watching Mononoke I definitely will add it to my ever growing TO WATCH list!!!!!

The main character is a medicine seller (in romanji ----kutsuri uri) and from what i remember we never learn his name and he travels feudal japan to exorcise the mononoke (various spirits). This is not an episodic type anime so some of the stories last 2 or 3 episodes and in each of them he is confronted by some sort of spirit and before he can exorcise them he must figure out their physical form---the truth of its appearance and the reason behind it's behaviour. Once these truths have been revealed he can exorcise the spirits.

Well no you have the basic gist of this anime BUT what I haven't told you is the style of the anime. You can probably tell from the elaborate picture that the anime is not your usual type of animation in that it's extremely theatrical. The anime is told in a theatrical type of way and i must say it is full of colours and imagery that I haven't seen in any other anime---making this one pretty unique. The way it uses colours and the way the characters in the stories appear emphasise the intensity of the stories and in some scenes you really can SEE THE TERROR in their faces and even their bodies the way they become distorted and contorted. In a NUTSHELL the creativity of this anime is to be proclaimed allow me to blow a trumpet---Watch the TRAILER and decide for yourself!!!!!!

Kurozuka 黒塚

This anime was only recommended to me yesterday and I think I watched 3 episodes so far---leaving another 9 episodes. This anime only finished airing in December 2008 so it is quite recent BUT it managed to slip off my radar---I'm like watching 20 animes at a time so you'll have to excuse me if I miss a few!!!!

So, after watching 3 episodes I'm saying that if you like vampire type anime, dark, violent, full of action ---mixed with some twisted love---well then simply put YOU'LL LOVE THIS ONE!!!! What has happened a man meets an irresistibly beautiful temptress in the woods ----falls victim to her beauty (Kuromitsu) only to find out that she is not all she appears to be. When he discovers the truth behind this seductive goddess he discovers a dark path which he volunteers to walk down ---bold and fearless is Kuro!!!! Before they have a chance to indulge in the flesh ---Kuromitsu's past causes them to be separated and now Kuro has awakened from what appears to be a long slumber to search for his gorgeous babe.

This week one of my favourite anime movies has been given the spotlight and rightly so---PAPRIKA is a MASTERPIECE. The colours in this picture reflects the colourfulness of the anime and the great thing about movies is that if you're busy busy busy ----if you have 90 minutes to spare then WATCH IT NOW!!!!!

I already did a post ranting on about the brilliance that is Satoshi Kon and the awesomeness of Paprika. So this time I'm keeping it brief the anime is a must see and if you like DREAMS than you will like Paprika. If I haven't given you enough information ---READ the older post!!!!

This week’s anime song of the week is taken from the second opening song from Gundam 00 and is by the Brilliant Green. If this is the first time visiting our blog…let me explain we LOVE anime and we also love JPop. So every week we pick an anime song and it’s always on the Top Right of the Blog. In case you would like to know more about this band---here is some information about them.

The Brilliant Green
The brilliant green, or buriguri for short, is a Japanese rock (or J-Rock) band. Tomoko Kawase (川瀬智子 Kawase Tomoko) is the vocalist; Ryo Matsui (松井亮 Matsui Ryo) plays electric/lead guitar; and Shunsaku Okuda (奥田俊作 Okuda Shunsaku) is on bass as well as acoustic/rhythm guitar. To his fellow band members and fans alike, Okuda is affectionately known as "Leader" as he composes the majority of the band's music. The band were formed in 1995 after Ryo and Shunsaku spotted Tommy singing "Sometimes Always" by The Jesus and Mary Chain, and The Rolling Stones written Marianne Faithfull hit "As Tears Go By" in a Kyoto karaoke bar.

The Brilliant Green take much of their influence from Western music, most predominantly The Beatles with over half their songs including English lyrics. They released their first single "Bye Bye Mr.Mug" in 1997 with little success, but their break came in 1998 when their third single "There Will Be Love There" was chosen as the theme song for popular Japanese Drama Love Again, and as a result went straight to the top of the charts. After another number one hit with "Tsumetai Hana" they released their self-titled debut album which sold over one million copies in just two days. On the back of this success their first national tour, There Will Be Live There, sold out across Japan in only three minutes. The Brilliant Green were suddenly one of the biggest bands in Japan.

Blade of the Immortal - 無限の住人 Update

I did a post on this anime a while back but finally after what seemed like forever---I managed to locate the final episode no. 13!!!! I was just about to give up on this episode and I thought maybe the thirteenth episode never existed BUT just when I was about to give up---I found IT. So after a long wait was I impressed with the final episode and the answer is NO and maybe is this is because of the wait.

So, what I will say about this anime is that I really liked the characters Rin & Manji. The man who has lived forever with the help of some weird worms that live in his blood. Rin hires him to help get her REVENGE but along the way she seems to have second thoughts. I felt the anime didn't conclude the story well BUT the episodes were great to watch they really created an intense kind of atmosphere and you start WISHING that she'll get the BASTARDS that wronged her family!!!!!! The way that this anime is left up in the air---might mean a second series---MAYBE---or just that I'll have to read the MANGA to find the conclusion I was looking for---all in all this anime is definitely worth watching. If you like samurai type anime and enjoy action, stories of betrayal, corruption, love and lust ---well than you won't be disappointed by this anime---which i must admit has a GREAT OPENING SONG!!!!

Anime of the Week: Wolf's Rain (LATE EDITION)

I’m behind the times!!!! I went on a mini vacation on Friday and came home yesterday and then it dawns on me…you didn’t do the ANIME OF THE WEEK post for what is now last week’s choice. GOMEN.

Last week’s choice was Wolf’s Rain and I haven’t finished this one yet BUT so far I think it’s pretty awesome. This is mainly because I love wolves as an animal and I love anime and Wolf’s Rain is a combination of the two which equal *YAY*. So, after watching 10 episodes I’m totally besotted with one of the main characters, Kiba!!!! I’m not one for totally ruining the story of an anime –so hear is a brief summary.

The story is set in a futuristic time and a prophecy exists relating to wolves and how when the end of the world arrives---paradise will appear but only WOLVES will be able to access paradise. The wolves are thought to be extinct but this appears untrue. The appearance of Kiba and his determination to find paradise has enticed a few more wolves out of hiding and caused the awakening of the mysterious flower maiden, Cheza (the one in the picture)!!!

Well, like I said I’m still watching and I’m hoping they find paradise and that Cheza shows them the way. After watching the 10 episodes I find the story intriguing and quite eerie. The strong leader of the pack, Kiba is my favourite but the story seems to focus on living for a purpose and Kiba’s is to return to paradise. I like the fact that the story is about wolves and not werewolves!!!!! It has shown what can happen when one forgets to follow one’s dreams, loss, loneliness, betrayal and I can tell from this far in the anime that after the other 20 episodes (including OVAs) I’m going to be in tears.

I posted a blog on this anime already but episode 3 was so awesome that I just couldn't resist sharing it with all you avid anime watchers!!! So, I mentioned before that the story was ambiguous so far and well this hasn't changed. NOW---you might wonder WHAT was so AWESOME about episode 3. Here it comes-----the ABYSS was so amazingly creative---I loved it. This anime definitely reminds me of Alice in Wonderland but more dark and twisted---I swear it's not just because B Rabbit is called ALICE.

The whole episode rocked!!!! I loved the little evil dolls but I can't say much about it otherwise I'll spoil it for you. So, if you watched the 1st episode and thought SCREW this I'm not watching the next one-----DON'T GIVE UP on it just yet. Episode 3 was thrilling and dark and I must admit a little frightening for a scaredy cat like MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :) I might be getting excited prematurely BUT I'm continuing this one, Yahooo.O

Michiko to Hatchin ミチコとハッチン

Michiko to Hatchin is a fairly new anime which started airing in October 2008 with the 22nd episode marking it's end in March 2009. What can I say---all things must run there course---OK seriously what did i think of this anime. Nothing much really---I watched all 22 episodes and after which I will say this Michiko to Hatchin isn't going to be an anime MUST see. But if you do watch it----i truly believe you will complete it and that you will enjoy it.

It is a pretty entertaining anime and the fact that the lead characters and the scenery gives it a latino kind of feel makes it a breath of fresh air and I personally liked this anime. The storyline was pretty simple and straightforward in that Michiko Malandro (the sexy diva) and Hana Morenos both share a need to escape the life they are living. This need to escape and the tattoo they both have on their stomachs creates a bond and the fuel that keeps them moving forward is the desire to find Hana's dad & Michiko's last lover, Hiroshi Morenos. This journey reveals some interesting social issues---child trafficking, child abuse and gang warfare and I must admit I don't recall being BORED watching this anime. Each episode was full of jokes and craziness and lots of action and if my opinion isn't enticing enough watch the trailer or at least the first episode!!!!!!

K-On is Kawaii!!!

I would like to say this----SORRY---- my internet went kaput for a few days so I didn't post hardly anything this week!!!!! But I finally managed to watch K-On and this was mainly because I stumbled across a picture of the chick with the blue and black striped glove whose name is Mio Akiyama!!!!! I immediately fell in love due to her kawaiiness and actually while i'm on this point i really think she looks like Kannagi but with black hair and the clockwork orangey eye make up :)

Alright, I know I get sidetracked so easily ---so what is K-On all about so far this is what I think after one episode mind. Yui Hirasawa seems to be a total cluts but quite adorable girl who has just started High School and she wants to join a group. Two other girls Mio & Ritsu Tainaka want to join the Light Music club but they need two more members otherwise the club is going Bye Bye!!!!!!! So, Tsumugi Kotobuki joins up and now they have the brainwave that they are going to make a band and they need a guitarist. Using very persuasive methods ---CAke & Cookies they entice Yui to sign up to the group and I'm waiting to see what will happen next.

So, what do I think? What is the verdict? Hmmmmm, I really like the style of the animation in this anime and I think the girls are very cutes but obviously Mio is the cutest of them all..kekeke. I found it very lighthearted and fun fun fun and I'm hoping that it remains this way and if my little opinion hasn't persuaded you to watch---maybe this trailer will!!!!!

Anime of WeeK: Naruto ナルト

I watched the first episode about three times before I decided to continue to watch this anime. I found him to LOUD and I kept starting episode one then stopping it and then one day I watched it and after that I just kept watching and watching and now it is one of my favourite anime!!!!! You may have heard a lot of negative remarks about this anime and even though it hasn't got great animation....it has something else----it has HEART. Yes, Yes Naruto is 100% HEART and that is a fabulous thing!!!!!!

If you don't know by now Naruto is all about the way of the ninja. It is set in the village of Konoha and shows how ninjas are used to protect the people that live in the village. There are other ninjas in the surrounding villages and they also have their own ninjas who are all used to help themselves and neighbouring villages by offering different services. So, the ninjas of Konoha are all given different missions to do and each mission has a ranking according to difficulty.

The main character Naruto is different to the others because he has the spirit of a demon fox sealed within him, which gives him incredible power and also leaves him feeling isolated and outcast in the village as people fear him. But Naruto doesn't give up and cower in a corner NO NO NO he makes people LOOK at him due to his LOUD character. He is full of energy and never goes back on what he sets out to do ---IT IS HIS WAY OF THE NINJA which is an admirable trait which would never allow him to SURRENDER or to abandon his friends.

The story itself is quite simple and is awesome in it's simplicity. You won't be short of action---i mean come on they're NINJAS!!!!! But they all have different abilities and strength's. Why not watch Naruto strive towards his dream of becoming Hokage---the NINJA that is the head of the village. Hurry and catch up with the Shippuden series which is still holding the torch of greatness that is NARUTO---where you'll see how far one guy will go for his friends and to fulfil his dream of becoming Hokage :)

Pandora Hearts パンドラハーツ

I have mixed opinions about this anime. Let's explore these shall we? So, I watched the first two episodes back to back and still the story is a bit shady. But I will continue because some anime don't make sense immediately and this can be troublesome BUT i will say this----I don't think it's going to be RUBBISH. I actually think it will get better (fingers crossed) or maybe it is wishful thinking because I hate to see an interesting idea collapse. Ok, Ok I better elaborate further still!!!!

The story so far is slightly ambiguous but the main character is Oz Bezarius, who appears to be a rich kid living a life without his father---lack of friends except his house servants!!!! His 15 years of age and is about to have his coming of age ceremony. There is a prophecy about the chosen one causing a clock that has stood still for years to CHIME....ding ding---means let's do the damn thing!!! Well, in this case it does----the bell strikes and all of a sudden people are trying to kill the BOY. They attempt to throw him into the abyss but he is saved by a mysterious chain known as an Alice, who can turn into a giant bunny ---sounds a bit Alice in Wonderland.

So, what am i saying about this one---I'm intrigued---i want to know what is this prophecy, will it be fulfilled ---can the heir change his supposed predestined future, who the hell is the bunny and just what the hell is going on!!!! If you like fantasy fiction, action and i guess a slow to medium type pace then you might enjoy this anime.

Phantom - Requiem of a Phantom

This anime has an eerie feel to it and I hope it pulls ot off. It appears to be about some sort of organisation that carries out assassinations using people called Phantoms. The girl is called Ein and she appears to have been part of this mysterious organisation of trained assassins but the guy was unfortunate. He seems to have been picked up and been used in some sort of experiment as he has no recollection of who he is BUT he is an object of admiration to the people behind this organisation. He has been given the name Zwei and it seems he has been given the unwanted task of working for this organisation who have deemed him some sort of prodigy!!!!!!

All I say of this one is that I will continue to watch BUT the action scenes seem cool and I like the eerieness of the atmosphere when watchin this one.

Eden of the East or Higashi no Eden

I stumbled across this anime and decided to sneak a peek being as it was another newbie!!! I wasn't disappointed that's for sure and I think I'll be watching the other 10 episodes ---making it one of my favourite kind of anime----Yes--short & sweet. This is a kind of spy theme anime---it started by showing some sort of student, Saki Morimi decides to visit the centre of the world...hmmmmm ....if you didn't know where that is---she claims it's the White House in Washington DC. It gets funnier--she gets herself into trouble with the authorities and is saved by a naked Japanese guy. He appears to have no memory of who he is and I swear at one point he found papers saying he was Jason Bourne (if you didn't watch the movie Bourne Identity and the other Bourne movies you are still clueless aren't you!!). Anyways, they end up flying to Japan together but who exactly has Saki made friends with?!!??? A Terrorist, a victim of circumstance who knows BUT I want to so I'm watching it--you can join me!!!!

Anime of the Week - Digimon Adventures 01

My first official anime! Woke up everyday at 6 am just to watch this! And this anime is pretty good for all ages cause theres nothing in it that anyone would find disturbing! LOL

So, basically, the story is about some seven kids who end up in a digital world where there are these strange creatures called Digimon! Each of the kids gets a unique Digimon which can evolved to different forms using a device called a Digivice. And if I remember right, they try to find a way to get to their real world and fight against the evil forces that are in this world!

Yeah, it seems kinda kiddy but I still think its awesome cause everytime I watch Digimon, brings back good memories!

So hope you try this anime! ^^

Yes, you guessed right, I started watching this because of all the sexy women in it!

Well, I've only watched one episode (downloading the second one) but have already found more suprises than I usually find in a 12 or 26 episode anime! LOL

The first of it was the total exposure of the upper body it shows. I mean they totally show the characters topless! And strong warriors battle against each other and the most beautiful and strongest becomes queen. Atleast thats what I know. And Leina, a princess who takes part in this competition.

I've found some flows in the direction but it seems these heavenly bods have kept me distracted to to make me able to keep my focus! XD

Here's what ANN says, maybe it'll help:
"In 4 years time the competition that will decide who the next Queen shall be will start. The strongest warrior will continue to rule the country according to tradition and expand it. The contestants need only be older than 12 years. They need not be human, intelligent or even of that country. The rules for the tournament are simple: murder is allowed. Any weapon can be chosen. The winner is decided when one of the participants flees or can't move anymore. Such event is broadcasted trough a crystal sphere by the court's magic teacher to all population to see and enjoy."

Shangri-la is Awesomeness!!!

I had no idea what to expect when I watched this new anime but one thing is for certain, I reckon it's going to be a fantastic anime. I was totally blown away with the quality of the animation to start ----such vibrant colours and the characters were also very colourful especially the cross dressers!!!! I'm sure you can look up what this anime is all about so I will offer what I thought of the first episode.

The story is set in a future where global warming has taken full effect on the planet's composition and Tokyo is no longer the city it was ---NO---it is now a jungle-polis. It has been taken over by greenery and it absorbs carbon dioxide which appears to make it a powerful possession in a world overridden by carbon dioxide!!! This is one of the reasons why I think I'm going to love this anime----i guess i just love science fiction:) The society appears to be split in two being the ones that live in the tower city and the ones that dream of living there. One girl, Kuniko Hojo and her rebel army appear to what to change things and I for one hope they do BUT we have 23 episodes to see if this can be achieved. I hope she can pull it off!!!!!

Full Metal Alchemist 2 : Brotherhood

I've been waiting to watch more of Full Metal Alchemist (FMA) since i completed the series. It was such a brilliant anime and I think anyone who watched it would have high expectations of FMA 2. But I must admit when I watched the first episode I wasn't overly impressed and maybe this has something to do with my HIGH EXPECTATIONS. I didn't know what to expect in the first episode and I was a bit unclear about what was going on. But now I know that this series is following the Manga as opposed to the first anime that strayed away from the Manga. Maybe when I watch the second episode I will be less confused!!!! @.@

Although, the first episode has some great action scenes and I love when Edward gets annoyed at being called CHIBI CHIBI, so cutes!!!! I will be watching the series and now that I've seen the first episode I'm sure it'll get better and better. The opening and ending themes were awesome but at this point am unsure who they are by????

Anime of the Week - Elfen Lied

Before I go any further I must warn you that this anime contains SOME MATERIAL THAT VIEWERS may find DISTURBING!!!! This picture might warn you of that fact so if you only like really adorable type animes with lots of stars and pornographic sounding noises (you know what i mean---right?) than Elfen Lied isn't for you. Well actually that might not be 100% accurate. I will explain...hmmmmmmmmm

The main character in this anime is Lucy and Nyuu who are both the same person---SEE---we are already in a different scenario. Lucy appears to be a normal human being except she has what appears to be cat ears but they are referred to as horns, which marks her out to be a Diclonius!!! This difference in appearance causes fear to build up in supposedly normal humans and consequently they are slammed into the government laboratory for CRUEL EXPERIMENTATION.

The moment you watch this anime and if you manage to watch all of episode 1 ---I personally think you will watch the other 12 episodes. I won't go too much into the details of the anime but if you like blood, violence, serious social issues---homelessness, child abuse, bullying---Elfen Lied might just be for you. I feel it covers the whole Nature Vs Nurture issue and I couldn't help sympathise with Lucy who no matter what was also the very cute Nyuu.

The opening music also sets the scene of this anime and it is the only opening song in any anime that I've watched to date that is in LATIN!!!!! The anime has a nice pace, great story and brilliant action and I would say this --YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED:)

Well, I finally got round to watching the final episode. I think part of me left it for a while as I was just in DENIAL but i decided to watch it under my duvet and i must admit it i did shed a tear!!!! I wasn't sure how they would conclude this wonderful anime but i wasn't disappointed which means that it was done satisfactorily. If you haven't had the pleasure of watching all 51 episodes then why wait any longer and if you happen to stumble across this post---well it's a sign from destiny that you must watch SOUL EATER RIGHT THIS INSTANT. Hahaha---so melodramatic BUT i must say they did a good job and it was only right that Maka Albarn kicked that Demon DOG (backwards) @SS!!!! Yahooooooooo

Anime of the Week - Shakugan no Shana

After only watching 10 episodes I'm going to tell you one thing is for sure. I totally loves Shana---her character is so feisty and full of attitude---like she is suffering from DIVA syndrome. Until she bites off more than she can chew and I'm not talking about the Melon Bread she loves to munch BUT in her partnership with Sakai Yuuji. A very odd partnership is formed when Yuuji witnesses a strange occurrence which resulted in his DEATH and he is now living as a total different entity to maintain the BALANCE of the power of existence.

I don't wish to reveal too much about the plot so far and i also don't want to BORE you with all the silly terminology used in the anime. What i will say is this--- so far after watching 10 episodes I have seen plenty action, cool characters, great music and the story is definitely interesting!!! At the moment i don't know the direction the story will take---the plot still hasn't been fully revealed to me. But I'm intrigued and I'm far from BORED and I want to watch the remaining 14 episodes. So if you fancy watching this anime---I'll post the summary and leave you with the trailer.

Plot Summary: Sakai Yuuji, a high school student who expected his normal life to last forever, is dead. When he was on his way home he witnessed a shocking view as the world suddenly froze: people were engulfed by blue flames and a monster resembling a large doll swallowed them. Just as the monster prepared to consume Yuuji, a sword-wielding girl in black attire with flaming red eyes and hair that burns like embers saved him from the monster. The girl called herself a "Flame Haze" who hunts the "Guze no Tomogara", creatures from another world. As Yuuji noticed a blue flame in his chest, she called him a "Torch", a temporary replacement, saying that the "real" Yuuji's existence had already ended. Unfazed, Yuuji befriended the strange girl, named her "Shana", and joined her fight against Tomogara and other Flame Hazes.

If it isn't clear that I love Soul Eater then i don't know what is wrong with you ..hahaa. Today, I'm going to watch the finale and I have high expectations I mean it's SOUL EATER!!!!! But I'm kind of scared that I'll be disappointed but i'm PRAYING that it is fantastic. I haven't read anyones blog on the subject and i decided not to watch the RAW so i can understand 100% as opposed to 50% (YATTAAAA my understanding of Japanese is increasing!!!). Anyways, that aside I thought I'd blog about what is to become one of my favourite animes. I thought this was a really childish anime when I first started watching but I guess i am a BIG KID still as i continued watching and watched the greatness of this story unfold. OK OK enough Soul Eater ass kissing.....I'll be back *SOBS* too say Sayonara to one of the most awesome anime I watched in a while!!!!!!

New batch of anime will be starting shortly so I’m posting a few here in case you feel like starting something new. I’m only posting the ones that are due to start on 30th March 2009 to 3rd April 2009----I will be back with the rest in a few days----didn’t want to overload you with too much at once (or is that I didn’t want to do a long post because I’m like trying to watch Shakugan no Shana!!!!).

Cookin Idol Ai! Mai! Main! クッキンアイドルアイ！マイ！まいん！ (Japanese)

Cooking Idol teaches children how to cook through instruction of the main character, MAIN. The show itself is divided into an animated segment featuring MAIN, and a live-action segment featuring the voice actor of MAIN, Fukuhara Haruka, as she practices the cooking herself.

Each episode is 10 mins long----sounds cute!!!!

Other characters are played by the students of Kyoto University of Art and Design Department of Character Designing. It is a short comedy animation about the jokes from all parts of the world.

An anime adaptation of Gakuto Mikumo and Nao Watanuki's Asura Cryin' light novels has been green-lit for television release in 2009. The announcement was made during the final stage presentation at the Dengeki Bunko Aki no Saiten (Dengeki Books' Fall Festival) event on Sunday. (Wolf and Spice's second anime season was also announced at the same time.) The semi-serious school action story revolves around Tomoharu Natsume, a boy who has been haunted by a ghosty girl who was a childhood friend. Mikumo and ASCII MediaWorks will publish the 11th volume of the light novel series on Friday. Mikumo wrote a novel based on Takashi Shiina's Zettai Karen Children manga, which was also adapted into anime.
