Heroic Age is this week's number 1 must see anime. It was released in 2007 and is made up of 26 episodes and is definitely for all you Sci Fi fans!!!!! The story is supposedly based on Greek mythology but nevermind that boring stuff what is this anime all about???? Well, the story itself is kind of complex and for that reason there is quite a bit of narrative involved. BUT don't despair just yet as there is still plenty of ACTION to balance this out.
The story relates to mankind's (Iron Tribe) step into outer space after one of the main characters, Princess Deianeira listens to the voice from beyond the stars (The Golden Tribe). By using her telepathic abilities she guides her ship the Argonaut but this journey isn't simple and they don't receive a welcomed response from the rest of the galaxy. Their arrival to space follows the departure of the Golden Tribe, which caused fear and anger within the other tribes - The Silver & Bronze Tribe.
With her power Princess Deianeira discovers mankind's Saviour, Age and seeks to lead everyone to peace. What follows is an intriguing journey to forge a new future for the entire Galaxy. This is truly a beautiful story and despite not having great animation to bring the story to life. Nevertheless, it is a superb story that shows how people fear what they don't understand and the importance of HOPE. I personally felt that the story reminds us to follow our own consciousness to help us to determine between right and wrong and to never lose hope and to always strive forward!!!!! Oh dear, am I getting carried away....anyways it's so great it made me CRY and therefore it gets my stamp of approval!!!!!
I couldn't find the trailer *SNIFF SNIFF* but here is a clip that explains the storyline. As i said the amount of action and the brilliance of the story truly outweighs the quality of the animation and the amount of narration. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!
