The Law of Ueki - うえきの法則

I watched The Law of Ueki a while ago now---just by chance and even though it was 51 episodes long *SNIFF SNIFF* it ended to quickly for my likings!!!! Ok ok---EXAGGERATION IN PROGRESS---but this is certainly a cool anime. From memory the story focuses around Ueki Kousuke who was just living his usual mundane high school life. When he is suddenly picked by God candidate, Kobasen to participate in a competition to wait for IT---to become GOD ---in a survival of the fittest battle where almost anything goes.

Each candidate is given a power and Ueki chooses the power to turn garbage into trees and if you watch this anime you'll see that some of his opponent's have more extraordinary powers. What follows is a really good anime with lots of battles - so you get your fill of action but there is a lot of talking involved, as it tends to fill you in with all the history of the characters before they became God candidates. The story isn't too complex but it has it's fair share of twists and turns.

Something which I found adorably sweet but some might find too UNBELIEVABLE is that everyone that encounters Ueki has a change of character (so, his a bit like Naruto with this characteristic)!!!!! He is a great character who will do anything to prove his sense of Justice which is mainly to protect his friends. I found this an endearing trait and hopefully you will too. So take a peek of this anime and see what you think after watching episode 1.

I couldn't find a trailer but I managed to get the opening song, which is really catchy!!!!!
