Anime of the Week - Shakugan no Shana

After only watching 10 episodes I'm going to tell you one thing is for sure. I totally loves Shana---her character is so feisty and full of attitude---like she is suffering from DIVA syndrome. Until she bites off more than she can chew and I'm not talking about the Melon Bread she loves to munch BUT in her partnership with Sakai Yuuji. A very odd partnership is formed when Yuuji witnesses a strange occurrence which resulted in his DEATH and he is now living as a total different entity to maintain the BALANCE of the power of existence.

I don't wish to reveal too much about the plot so far and i also don't want to BORE you with all the silly terminology used in the anime. What i will say is this--- so far after watching 10 episodes I have seen plenty action, cool characters, great music and the story is definitely interesting!!! At the moment i don't know the direction the story will take---the plot still hasn't been fully revealed to me. But I'm intrigued and I'm far from BORED and I want to watch the remaining 14 episodes. Plot Summary: Sakai Yuuji, a high school student who expected his normal life to last forever, is dead. When he was on his way home he witnessed a shocking view as the world suddenly froze: people were engulfed by blue flames and a monster resembling a large doll swallowed them. Just as the monster prepared to consume Yuuji, a sword-wielding girl in black attire with flaming red eyes and hair that burns like embers saved him from the monster. The girl called herself a "Flame Haze" who hunts the "Guze no Tomogara", creatures from another world. As Yuuji noticed a blue flame in his chest, she called him a "Torch", a temporary replacement, saying that the "real" Yuuji's existence had already ended. Unfazed, Yuuji befriended the strange girl, named her "Shana", and joined her fight against Tomogara and other Flame Hazes.
