It has awesome animation and as for the storyline it's wacky to say the least. The main character Naoto Nadaba is 12 and is dealing with growing up without his big brother, Tasuku who has gone to America to play baseball. Naoto thinks life is BORING even though his involved in his own complicated love story with his brother's girlfriend, Mamimi.
Well, Naoto's life takes an unexpected step into the extraordinary with the arrival of pink haired alien, Haruhara Haruko (allegedly 19) who spins his world out of control armed with just her Vespa and guitar. After crashing on the scene she wallops him over the head with her guitar after performing CPR and drags Naoto into a less more mundane world.
This meeting leaves Naoto with some sort of power to create things from his mind and literally they come out of his head. I reckon it's the most creative anime that I've ever watched BUT if your someone who likes a clear storyline ---word of advice THIS ISN'T FOR YOU!!!!! If you like to be surprised and your what I would describe as an artsy kind of person then you'll LOVE this anime.
The majority of the time you'll be thinking what is going on here and I mean some of the scenes will have you in absolute hysterics and you might think did I just see what i saw. At times you'll feel sorry for poor Naoto to have to deal with his crazy brother's homeless girlfriend, the wacky alien Haruko and the guy with the mega EYEBROWS. At times you'll blink and think your watching South Park or that your even reading the Manga version but don't worry thats Furi Kuri madness!!!!
So, if you like artistic, creative, manic, blink and you'll be confused by the speed of the pace no really complex storyline and plenty of sexual innuendo...well, quite simply your Furi Kuri too. Watch the promo below!!!!!
