Vampire Knight Guilty: ヴァンパイア騎士 Guilty

Well, this anime sadly finished airing on the 29 December 2008 and I thought this was a brilliant anime. It's the second installment of 13 episodes following on from Vampire Knight which aired in April 2008. So, the whole story is made up of 26 episodes. If you haven't already watched Vampire Knight I suggest you start from the beginning of the story rather than half way through.

The whole story is based around 3 main characters - Yuki Cross, Zero Kiryu and Kaname Kuran. In the first part of the story we find out that Yuki Cross was abandoned in the snow facing a wild vampire. When another vampire, Kaname sempai comes to her rescue and takes her to the Cross Academy where she is raised by the headmaster, her adopted father. Her and Zero are prefects of the Cross Academy which is a school for both humans and vampires. What follows is a story of friendship which becomes affected by the past and the blood sucking Vampires making a pretty cool anime. The second part of the story is told in Vampire Knight Guilty which continues the story by focusing on Yuki Cross to reveal a darker side to her past and her forbidden love.

All in all I would say that this anime has a great story, good characters and a nice pace. Definitely a must see.
